KMHS COLLABORATES WITH COLLEGE STUDENTS!!! Our KMHS Orchestra students recently had an incredible opportunity to collaborate with students and faculty from UW-Eau Claire! They performed some of their concert repertoire and joined our KM orchestras for an inspiring clinic led by Dr. Nobuyoshi Yasuda. It was an especially meaningful experience for our own orchestra teacher, Ms. Sternberg, a UW-Eau Claire alum, who was thrilled to welcome her former professor to work with her students. We are so grateful to UW-Eau Claire for sharing their time and talent with us!

KM ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND KMHS STUDENT GOVERNMENT NEED YOUR SHOE BOXES AND YOUR DONATIONS!!! KM elementary schools and high school student government are participating in a Friendsgiving collection that will conclude on November 26th. Donated or purchased items will be collected into shoe boxes. These "shoe boxes for Santa" will then be personally delivered to students at WD Williams Elementary School in Swannanoa North Carolina. These students have been terribly impacted by hurricanes, tornados, and flooding. Most were left with nothing. Our goal is to gather up much-needed clothing items like hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, socks, and also a few fun things like toys, art supplies, or puzzles. The school has 450 students at 4 elementary schools, so our goal is to meet and even exceed that need. Drop off your donations at any KM elementary school or at KMHS!

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Please note: This musical contains adult themes which may not be suitable for some young audience members. Adults: $15, Seniors (65+): $12, Students (K-12): $12. Tickets will be available online beginning Friday, November 8th at https://sites.google.com/a/kmsd.edu/kmperformmusical/home. Tickets can also be purchased in the auditorium lobby one hour prior to the performance using cash or check only. Patrons wishing to purchase via credit card will be directed to the online purchasing site.
KM LEADERSHIP CLASS SHARES THEIR STORY!!! Each year, Mr. Bestor's leadership students write and design their own children's books and read them to KM Explore students. It is a wonderful mentorship opportunity and our high school students really benefit from the input of younger learners on their work.
DECA'S OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD!!! It's time for KM DECA's holiday-themed drive! This year, the KM DECA officer team has chosen to partner with Operation Christmas Child to facilitate a collection of necessities for children in need. Our chapter goal is to fill 100 shoeboxes to send around the world to needy families in impoverished countries. That being said, we need your help to donate items we can put in the shoeboxes. We are looking for new items (unused) that fit in a shoebox and a list of examples is shown in the picture. No food, drink, or liquids of any kind please! All items can be brought to either the front office at KMHS or Mr. Dellis' room (D25). Donations will be accepted at the main entrance of the following locations: Kettle Moraine High School, Cushing Elementary, Culver’s Wales, Mama D’s
Chick-Fil-A Delfield. Items will be accepted from Monday, November 4th until Friday, November 15th. Thank you for helping us make a difference!

These "shoe boxes for Santa" will then be personally delivered by a friend of Mrs. Cavanaugh to students at WD Williams Elementary School in Swannanoa North Carolina. Our goal is to gather up much-needed clothing items like hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, socks, and also a few fun things like toys, art supplies, or puzzles. These items will be collected and wrapped in shoe box care packages. The school has 450 students at 4 elementary schools. If we are able to build more than 450 boxes, we will share our extras with other schools in the area. All items must be collected by November 26th, as they will be driven down to North Carolina and delivered by December 4th. KM CELEBRATES RETIREMENT OF LONG-TIME BUS TERMINAL MANAGER!!! Cindy Houk from Dousman Transport has operated our KM Terminal with efficiency and warmth for many years. She is retiring after 41 years with Dousman Transport. John Stellmacher, KMSD Chief Financial Officer, and Jeremy Struss, KMSD Business Manager, stopped by to celebrate Cindy's retirement and wish her well!
NAME THAT AUDITORIUM!!! Our auditorium renovation is getting close to completion, and it is time to start thinking about naming this beautiful venue. While we have a generous naming sponsor, their hope is that our students have ownership of the project and select the name. So we are calling on our KM Community to start the process by submitting your naming suggestions. The submission process will close November 20th. Then, our team will narrow down the options to a group of preferred names for students to vote on. The final name will be unveiled at our grand opening early next year.
